Following a week off from competition, the Missouri State Lady Bears (3-2, 0-0 Missouri Valley Conference) put their two-game winning streak on the line Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. against East Tennessee State (0-8, 0-2 Atlantic Sun) at JQH Arena. Despite its tough start, ETSU has been a formidable program in recent years, going to the NCAA Tournament in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and finishing with a winning record in 2011.
ETSU is a first-time opponent for Missouri State, joining Louisville and North Texas as first-timers on the schedule this season.
Tuesday’s game marks the first of three in the Lady Bears’ busiest week of the season as they play at Oklahoma State on Thursday and turn around to host North Texas at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.

Series History
Missouri State and East Tennessee State have never met in women’s basketball, nor have the Lady Bears played a team currently in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
MSU is 2-6 all-time against schools from Tennessee.
