SPRINGFIELD -- An overhaul to the season-ticket pricing structure for Missouri State University women's basketball was formally unveiled today (April 20) by Director of Athletics Kyle Moats, who hinted at the changes during a recent news conference.

Under the new pricing plan, season tickets will be $80 per seat for bleacher sections (H and I), and $120 for all other seats. Only Section B (behind the Lady Bears bench), Section C (center court behind the scorer's table) and Section L (center court behind the press row) will retain a seat assessment of $300.

Courtside and loge-level seats will also be a $120 season ticket with seat assessments in those two areas dropping from $1000 to $500 for the 2013-14 season.

“This is something we have been working on for a while,” said Moats. “President (Clif) Smart and I listened to what our fans wanted, and this puts us in a very competitive situation in terms of value for our fans’ entertainment dollar. Fans in Springfield and around the region will really embrace the brand of basketball that Coach (Kellie) Harper will bring to JQH Arena, and our goal is to bring back that electric atmosphere that people have come to expect from the Lady Bears.”

The new pricing plan is a dramatic savings from last season which featured $259 season tickets for the lower level with seat assessments ranging from $150 to $500 in 10 sections.
