EUGENE, Ore. -- Missouri State senior guard Casey Garrison has been selected to play on a United States all-star basketball team that will tour China April 25-May 9. The team, sponsored by the United States Basketball Academy, will play nine games against teams from China, Australia and New Zealand. The squad will play in three different cities and provinces.

The US squad, who will be coached by former Colorado State and Santa Clara head coach Chris Denker, includes: Garrison; Katie Bussey, Montana State; Katelan Redmon, Gonzaga; ReZina TecleMariam, Portland; Talisa Rhea, Seattle; Rebekah Gardner, UCLA; Jasmin Holliday, Oregon; Natalie Day, Portland; Jalana Childs, Kansas State; Rachael Hackbarth, Drake; and Kali Bennett, Arizona State.

The Missouri Valley Conference’s No. 3 all-time scorer, Garrison led the Lady Bears this season with a 15.7 scoring average to go with 5.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Missouri State won the MVC regular-season championship in 2012, going 24-9 overall and advancing to the third round of the WNIT.

The 2010 Jackie Stiles MVC Player of the Year and one of six four-time first-team all-MVC selections in league history, Garrison finished her MSU career in the top 10 of 15 career categories, and is the only player to rank in points (2nd - 2,271), rebounds (7th - 791) and assists (3rd - 525). The Bolivar, Mo., native also ranks in the top 13 in MVC history in six categories, and her 118 career games scoring in double figures sits 13th in NCAA history.
