The Missouri State Lady Bears (20-6, 13-3 Missouri Valley Conference) already own a share of the MVC title and have two shots this weekend to clinch the crown outright, beginning with a 7:05 p.m. Thursday game against UNI (16-11, 9-7).
The Lady Bears defeated Illinois State 80-76 in overtime on Sunday in what proved to be a de facto championship game as Wichita State lost at Indiana State that same day to send both the Shockers and Redbirds to 11-5 in the conference and two games back of MSU with two to play.
Missouri State lost 62-54 at UNI on New Year's Eve in the season's first meeting. The Lady Bears trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half and cut the deficit to 56-54 with two minutes left before UNI pulled away.
The Lady Bears host Bradley in the regular-season finale at 7:05 p.m. Saturday. Seniors Lacey Boshe, Casey Garrison, Jasmine Malone, Jaleshia Roberson and Regan Soldner will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
Missouri State owns a 45-19 lead in the series with UNI but has lost the last four meetings. MSU is 27-4 in Springfield, including a 2-2 mark under Coach Milleson with wins in 2008 and 2010.
Missouri State is 43-21 all-time against Bradley, including a 26-8 mark in Springfield. The teams have split the last 10 meetings, with the road team prevailing in the last three contests.
UNI is 16-11 overall and 9-7 in MVC play after breaking a four-game losing skid Sunday with a home victory over Drake.
Katelin Oney (13.0), K.K. Armstrong (12.8) and Rachel Madrigal (11.9) pace a balanced offense that averages 65 points per game.
The Panthers shoot 39.0 percent overall, 29.9 percent from three-point range and 70.1 percent from the charity stripe while allowing 63.4 points with a -4.1 rebounding margin.
UNI boasts an MVC-best +3.6 turnover margin.
Bradley was 14-14 overall and 5-11 in conference play entering its Thursday game at Wichita State.
The Braves have three double-figure scorers, led by center Leah Kassing at 14.0 points and 7.9 rebounds, with guards Katie Yohn and Catie O'Leary scoring 11.7 and 10.0 points, respectively.
As a team, Bradley scores 68.1 points per game and allows 66.4 while shooting 40.6 percent overall, 33.3 percent from three-point range and 76.2 percent from the foul line.
