Roxy Stiles returns for her third year as the Lady Bears' most experienced veteran. The 5-9 junior will be called upon to provide leadership to a youthful Missouri State backcourt in 2008-09 after playing in all 58 MSU contests - starting 28 - over the last two seasons.


Stiles saw action in all 30 games as a sophomore, starting two contests and posting a 3.6 ppg. average...Saw her streak of 26 consecutive games started come to an end in the Lady Bears' season-opening loss at Texas (11/11)...Scored 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field in a 78-68 loss to Green Bay (11/17)...Notched her second double-figure scoring night of the year with a 10-point effort against Saint Louis (12/7)...Totaled 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting and a season-high four rebounds in MSU's 70-55 win at Bradley (1/19)...Scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting in the Lady Bears' 78-66 loss at Illinois State (2/24)...Tallied seven points and matched a season high with a pair of assists in MSU's 73-55 win over Wichita State (3/2)...Was named to the Valley's Honor Roll for her academic performance in the Fall 2007 semester.


Stiles was the Lady Bears' fourth-leading scorer with an 8.4 ppg. average, starting 26 games and logging 872 minutes, both the second-highest totals on the squad as a freshman in2006-07...Finished her initial collegiate campaign as the third-leading freshman scorer in the Missouri Valley Conference...Kicked off the season with a bang, going 4-of-6 from the floor for eight points in her Missouri State debut on Nov. 11 vs. Iowa...Scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds in her first collegiate start on Nov. 20 vs. Arkansas State, then went on to post three-consecutive double-figure scoring games, tallying 14 vs. Portland State (11/29), 16 vs. #17 DePaul (12/3) and 12 at Tulsa (12/9)...Scored 11 points and notched a career-high three steals in a 47-44 win over Western Illinois (12/21) and established a new career-best scoring mark (19) by going 7-of-12 from the floor, including 5-of-7 from three-point range, in MSU's 83-76 win at Indiana State (1/11)...Went 2-of-3 from beyond the three-point arc vs. Illinois State (1/13) to cap a week in which she hit 7-of-10 three-point attempts...Led Missouri State in scoring in the season-ending, 65-56 loss to Bradley (3/8) at the State Farm MVC Tournament, totaling 15 points for her 10th double-digit scoring game of the year.


Stiles was a four-year starter at point guard for Claflin High, earning a McDonald's All-American nomination her senior year, and KBCA All-State first-team honors after leading the Lady Wildcats to Kansas 1A state titles as a junior and senior...Named Class 1A Player of the Year by the Hutchinson News and was an all-state pick of both the Topeka Capital Journal and Wichita Eagle as a senior...Also received player of the year honors from the Great Bend Tribune as a junior...Maintained a 4.0 GPA while also excelling in track for Claflin, winning the Kansas 1A state championship in the 200 meters as a junior and the 400 meters as a senior.


Stiles is the daughter of Pat and Pam Stiles...Has two brothers, P.J. and Corey, and one sister, Jackie, a three-time All-American and the NCAA's all-time Division I scoring leader who played collegiately for MSU from 1997-2001.
