Background: Palmer earned all-state honors three times at Heights High in Wichita in addition to helping the Falcons to consecutive 25-0 seasons and Kansas Class 6A state championships during her sophomore and junior campaigns...As a senior, Palmer garnered a first-team all-state selection with averages of 18.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.2 steals per game...Palmer led the league in scoring, steals, assists and 3-point shooting as Heights finished as the state runner-up, and was a finalist for the Lynette Woodard Athlete of the Year award, given to the top female athlete in Wichita...Palmer was a second-team all-stater as a junior and scored 10 points in the state championship game as Heights completed its 25-0 season...She was an honorable mention all-state pick as a sophomore following another undefeated championship season for the Falcons.
