Missouri State Men's Soccer Drops 2-1 Decision to Oral Roberts
 

 

 

Missouri State men’s soccer lost 2-1 to Oral Roberts in the first round of Tulsa Tournament, Friday. The match was the first of seven consecutive road contests for the Bears, who are now 2-2-1 overall.

Missouri State senior goal keeper Lance Parker recorded nine saves on 11 Oral Roberts shots on goal. ORU scored both of its goals in the first half. Missouri State recorded six shots on goal. Sophomore defender Nick Dryden’s header in the box following a free kick with 38:14 left in the second half was the lone MSU goal. Assisting on the play was junior forward Henry Lawrence, III.

Missouri State will conclude the tournament Sunday, when the Bears will play host Tulsa at 2:35 p.m.
