Coach Jon Leamy's Missouri State men's soccer team, coming off of an undefeated preseason, begins its 2013 campaign with two home matches this weekend.

The Missouri Valley Conference released its men's soccer preseason poll earlier this week. The conference's coaches predicted a fifth place finish for the Bears.

On Friday, the Bears welcome Incarnate Word from San Antonio, Texas to Plaster Field.  The Cardinals recently transitioned from a DII Soccer powerhouse to a new member of Division I. Last season, Incarnate Word advanced to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Division II soccer playoffs.

The homestand concludes Sunday evening, as the Bears host Nebraska Omaha. The Mavericks started their men's soccer program in 2011, and have improved their record each of their first two seasons. Coach Jason Mims returns 10 starters return from last year's team, which tied for fourth in the Summit League.

Both games kick off at Plaster Field. Friday night's game is set to begin at 8:00 p.m., following the women's game, and Sunday's game has a 7:00 p.m. start time.
