Men's Soccer Hosts Concert for Hundreds of Fans, Students
March 10, 2014
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Luna Jamboree, a local rock-and-roll band, played to a sold-out plaster student crowd on Monday, February 24th. The men's soccer program, including coaches and players, worked with Luna Jamboree to sell over 540 tickets to the show as a way to give back to the students in the offseason, as well as support the team.
Luna Jamboree, composed of four members (three of whom graduated from Missouri State), were the headline act, but the show included performances by MSU mixed a capella group Hybernotes and the Sugar Bears.
The hundreds in attendance not only were able to enjoy a full evening of music and performances, but every ticketed attendee received a Little Debbie Cosmic Cupcake upon entering.
Missouri State men's soccer is currently training and playing the off-season spring schedule in preparation for fall's regular season. The Bears finished the 2013 campaign in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference and led the nation in goals against average (0.41).
