Background: Vieth was a four-year performer for head coach Bill Vieth at Evansville Memorial. He helped the Tigers to a 65-game unbeaten streak from 2007-2009, including two state championships. Vieth recorded 26 assists during his senior season en route to all-city, all-conference and all-state first team honors. During his junior campaign, he also earned all-city, all-conference and all-state first team while leading the 23-0-2 squad to the state title and a No. 2 national ranking. His sophomore season also yielded a 23-0-2 record, a state title and a No. 1 national ranking, while his freshman team went 19-2-2 to reach the state final four. Evansville Memorial was a combined 84-5-6 during the four seasons Vieth played. He also played for club team FC Evansville which won the Indiana State Cup in 2009.

Personal: Tyler W. Vieth is the son of Bill and Sarah Vieth. He was born February 25, 1992, in Evansville, Ind. He plans to be an accounting major at MSU. Vieth's father and grandfather played soccer at Saint Louis University from 1982-1985 and 1961-1963, respectively.
