At Missouri State: Striebel will compete for time in the midfield this season after providing relief off the bench last season. 2008: Striebel played a supporting role for the Bears in the midfield as he saw action off the bench in 10 contests in 2008, including the MVC Tournament championship against Creighton (11/16). 2007: Striebel saw action in 14 matches with four starts as a freshman, scoring his only goal against UMKC (10/31). He took three shots on the season with two on goal. Background: Striebel was a three-year starting midfielder for Madison (Wis.) East High School and led his team to sectional and regional championships and helped earn the school's first state tournament berth as a senior. As a team captain, Striebel scored seven goals and added 10 assists to earn second team all-city and all-conference honorable mention accolades his senior season. A member of the Madison 56ers club team since age 13, Striebel played on three state championship teams. Striebel also was a member of the Wisconsin Olympic Development Team from 2002-05. Academically, Striebel maintained a 3.93 grade-point average and was in the top four percent of his class. Personal: Tyson Daniel Striebel is the son of Daniel and Kim Striebel. He was born June 5, 1989, in Madison, Wis.
