MSU Athletics Director's Honor Roll - Spring 2013, Fall 2012

2013: Appeared in all 18 matches for the Bears...Started 16 games, including every conference and postseason game...First Team All-MVC Selection...College Sports Madness Second Team All-Conference selection...Led the Bears in shots (33), and ranked second on the team in both goals (4) and points (8)...Scored both goals in the win at Drake (Oct. 12), one goal against Loyola Chicago (Oct. 4), and one goal against Detroit (Sept. 13).

2012: Was a fixture in the Bears' midfield, appearing in all 17 matches...Started every game except for the Central Arkansas contest on Oct. 17...Logged a total of 1358 on the pitch in his first season of action...Was second on the team in assists (2)...Credited with an assist at UMKC in the Bears' 3-0 win over the Kangaroos...Registered his second assist in the Bears' 2-0 shutout of Eastern Illinois at the Dayton Marriott Classic...Finished the season with 11 shots and three shots on goal...Named to the all-tournament team at the University of Central Arkansas tourney.

Background: Brought a wealth of soccer experience with him to Missouri State after playing for multiple teams in Leicester, England...From age 7-15, he played for Leicester City F.C. Academy...From there, he was signed to a two-year scholarship to play with Lincoln City...While still playing for Lincoln City in 2008, he had the opportunity to represent the Republic of Ireland when he played on its U-19 team...Following his release from Lincoln City, he signed with semi-professional club Hinckley United, playing in the Blue Square Conference North for two seasons...Prior to arriving in Springfield, Mo., Roberts was busy off the field as he worked full-time as a coach at Redmoor High School in 2010 and Market Bosworth High School in 2011.
