At MSU:Brian Pasierb will lead the Bears' midfield again in 2006 after earning all-conference honors as a junior a season ago.
2005: Pasierb started the first 16 games of the season, before suffering an unfortunate injury that kept him out of the regular season finale and conference tournament. He was the anchor at the midfield position throughout the year for the Bears. His play was acknowledged by the conference's coaches, who voted him an All-MVC honorable mention.
2004: Pasierb saw time in 17 games last season, drawing great experience that will carry him into 2005. He had four shots as a sophomore.
2003: Pasierb played in all 19 matches for the Bears as a freshman, with three starts. He scored one goal in a 4-1 victory over Western Illinois (10/17) and also recorded one assist.
Background: Pasierb joined the Bears' squad after earning four letters for Carl Sandburg High. Pasierb helped the Eagles to three undefeated conference championships in four years, including back-to-back Illinois state titles in 2001 and 2002. He earned all-conference and all-sectional honors his final two years and added all-region laurels as a senior. Pasierb helped Carl Sandburg to a 35-0-1 record in league play and an outstanding 75-3-4 overall record in the three championship seasons. He also led his club team, the Chicago Magic, to a national runner-up finish in 2002.
