At MSU: Kory will look to build on his experience gained last season while competing for playing time at forward. 2008: Dowell played a supporting role for Missouri State, coming off the bench in seven contests to provide depth in the Bears' brigade of forwards in 2008. He contributed two shots on the season, against Cleveland State (9/5) and Memphis (9/24).

Background: Kory Dowell comes to the Bears after an impressive high school career at Bayless High. After starting all four years, Dowell finished with the school records in most career goals (117), assists (78) and points (312). Dowell was a recipient of All-State first team, All-Metro honorable mention, All-Conference first team, All-Conference Most Valuable Player, first team all-District as team captain his senior year. His junior year, Dowell added St. Louis Post-Dispatch Player of the Week honors to all-Metro honorable mention, all-Conference and all-District first teams. In 2006, Dowell helped his team to a district title and an appearance in the Final 8 at state.
