2014: Played and started in all 18 games for the Bears...Led all juniors with 1428 minutes played...Tied for first on Missouri State with three assists and fourth on the team with five points...Scored his first-career goal in the double-overtime draw against UMKC (Sept. 6)...Tallied assists in the 1-0 win against Incarnate Word (Aug. 29), in the conference-title clinching overtime victory over Evansville (Nov. 8), and in the shutout win in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament semi-final shutout victory over Loyola (Nov. 14)...Recorded 15 shots on the season, including a high of three against both UMKC (Sept. 6) and Loyola (Nov. 14)...Played 90 or more minutes five times, including matching a season-high 103 minutes on three occasions, at Loyola (Oct. 18), at SIUE (Nov. 1), and in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship Game against SIUE (Nov. 16)...Named to the All-MVC Honorable Mention Team...Selected to the SMU Invitational All-Tournament Team.

2013: Started 15 games and appeared in all 18 for the Bears...Became a constant in the Bears midfield as the season progressed...Recorded the game-winning assist in the 1-0 win against Belmont (Oct. 8)...Recorded his second game-winning assist in the 1-0 win at Bradley, which clinched the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title with the win (Nov. 2)...Recorded a season high 92 minutes played in the conference win at Evansville (Oct. 19).

2012: Played in 12 of the Bears' 17 matches...Cracked the starting lineup in MSU's season finale at home against Drake (Nov. 2)...Played a season-high 74 minutes in the 2012 Living Our Legacy game versus Drake and recorded two shots...Registered one other shot at No. 19 SMU (Oct. 21).

Background: Was a four-year letterwinner for Billy Pritz at Lassiter (Ga.) High...Earned Lassiter MVP honors from the center midfield position in 2009 and 2011...Was a two-time all-county selection...Was named to the 2011 Georgia all-state team, selected by coaches, media and ESPNHS editors...As a senior, he notched eight goals and 10 assists on the Lassiter team that went 16-3-1...Throughout most of the 2012 season, the Broncos were ranked No. 1 in the nation by ESPN the Rise...In 2011, he helped lead Lassiter to an overall record of 19-1-1 and a state semifinal appearance...Was a key component on the Broncos' team that was crowned region champions with an undefeated mark of 16-0 and set a single-season record of 105 goals scored...From 2008-11, Barbero played club for North Atlanta Soccer Association (NASA) Elite before joining Georgia United U 17/18 in its inaugural season in the U.S. Soccer Development League...In 2011, he started all 20 games he played in for Georgia United and was named team captain...His four goals on the year tied for third on the team.
