At MSU: 2005: Anderson recorded the school's 20th hat trick in Missouri State's second game of the season at Florida International (9/3) and never looked back on his way to an MVC-high 15 goals and the conference's co-player of the year award. Anderson became the first MSU player to earn such recognition and also the first in school history to earn NSCAA/adidas All-America honors, after he was named to the second team. Anderson led the MVC in goals (15), points (33), and game winners (6) in 2005. Anderson's 0.83 goals-per-game average ranked fifth in the nation and his 1.83 points-per-game was eighth-best in Division I. The six game winners Anderson recorded set a single-season school record and he recorded the winning goal in three of the four MSU conference victories. His 15 goals rank second-best in a single season at MSU behind Matt Caution's 16 in 1993 and his 33 points are third-best all-time. Anderson earned MVC Player of the Week honors (Oct. 24), was a member of the College Soccer News' National Team of the Week (Oct. 11), and was an all-tournament selection in the Missouri State, Evansville, Bradley and MVC tournaments. Anderson scored a goal in 11 of the 13 matches MSU scored in, including three multi-goal games. 2004: The St. Charles, Mo., native started nine of the 18 contests in which he appeared during his freshman campaign, and was tied with senior Jim Levesque as the fourth-leading scorer for the Bears last season. Anderson turned in 11 points on four goals and three assists to earn All-Freshman MVC accolades. Anderson took 28 shots in 2004, placing nine on goal. He scored the first goal of his collegiate career against Oral Roberts and led the team with a goal two games later in a 2-1 win over Oregon State. Background: Anderson was a four-year starter for the St. Charles West Warriors, while garnering first team all-conference and all-state honors his senior season.
