EDWARDSVILLE, Ill- After two rounds at Sunset Hills Country Club, the Missouri State men's golf team sits in seventh place of the twelve-team Derek Donenc Invitational at a combined 22 over par.

The Bears followed an opening round score of 299 with another 299 in the second round, allowing them to pass South Dakota for the seventh spot. Belmont leads the field, with a combined score of 580, 4-over par.

Senior Eric Straub and sophomore Mitch Mather are leading the five Bears golfers with a two round score of 148, 4-over par. They sit in a tie for 18th place in the 70 golfer tournament.

The tournament concludes with round three at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
