Missouri State Men's Golf Squad Places 10th at Louisiana Tech



The Missouri State men's golf team tied for 10th of 16 teams Tuesday (Mar. 16) at the Louisiana Tech Bulldog Classic in Ruston, La.  The Bears, who shot 312-305-314--931 over two days, were led by sophomore Will Hogan, who placed fourth after carding 75-73-71--219.

Southeastern Louisiana captured the team title, edging Mississippi, 880-881.  Louisiana Tech (900), Oklahoma (903) and New Orleans (906) rounded out the top five.

Cedric Scotto of Southeastern Louisiana was medalist, firing 73-68-71--212.  For MSU, junior Jack Courington followed Hogan by tying for 46th place with 79-75-81--235.  Senior Jay McBride tied for 61st at 75-80-83--238, while Matt Cermak tied for 68th with 84-77-79--240, and Scott Glenn was 81st after shooting 83-84-83--250.

Next up for the Bears is the Branson Creek Invitational, which they'll host, Apr. 5-6.
