Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Louisiana Tech
The Missouri State men's golf team finished fourth of 12 teams Tuesday (Mar. 15) at the Louisiana Tech Bulldog Classic in Choudrant, La. The Bears finished with 296-298-298--892 for 54 holes while junior Jordan McLaurin posted a seventh-place finish.
McLaurin shot 71-74-74--219 to pace the Bears while sophomore Daily Young was second for MSU and 11th overall with 75-74-71--220. Junior Will Hogan tied for 19th after carding 74-76-73--223. Seniors Matt Cermak and Jack Courington finished 48th and 55th, respectively; Cermak shot 79-74-80--233 and Courington 76-78-81--235. Hunter Green of Middle Tennessee State captured medalist honors with 70-73-70--213.
MTSU won the team title after shooting 278-300-290--868, posting an 18-shot victory over runner-up Louisiana Tech, which had 886. Southeastern Louisiana was third with 891, followed by the Bears, Jacksonville State and Texas State (895), South Alabama and Southern Mississippi (899), Rice (904), McNeese State and Arkansas-Little Rock (912), and Stephen F. Austin (927).
