McBride named Valley POW
Missouri State sophomore Jay McBride has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after tying for 27th place at the Braveheart Classic in Beaumont, Calif., Mar. 3-4. McBride, along with the rest of the field, battled windy conditions at the Oak Valley Country Club to shoot 81-76-76--233 and lead the Bears to a 10th-place finish in the 16-team field. As a team, MSU shot 323-314-304--641. The Bears are back in action at the UALR/First Tee Intercollegiate, Mar. 17-18, in Little Rock, Ark.
