McLaurin Collects Valley Golfer of Week Honor

Missouri State senior Jordan McLaurin has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week for his play at the Rice Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Feb. 21). McLaurin shot 70-73-70--213 to finish three under par and in a tie for fourth at the Bears' spring opener at Westwood Golf Club in Houston, Texas. The lefthander from Ironton, Mo., finished just three shots off the pace set by medalist Zachery Fullerton of New Mexico State. MSU finished 11th in the team standings. McLaurin, who earned all-conference honors a year ago, currently is ranked 10th in the MVC with a 74.67 scoring average. He and his teammates are back in action Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 27-28) at the Washington State/Snowman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz.
