Men's Golf Seventh at Louisiana Tech's Jim Rivers Intercollegiate

CHOUDRANT, La. – The Missouri State men’s golf team finished in seventh after Tuesday’s final round at Squire Creek Country Club, after carding 288-295-306—889.
The Bears were in fourth place after the first day of the tournament, but dropped to seventh out of twelve schools after a final round 306.
Yesterday’s top three schools all maintained their positions after the final round. Southern Mississippi won the tournament shooting 293-278-296—867, followed by Southern Louisiana (298-282-291—871) and Louisiana Tech (294-288-292—874).
North Texas’ Gonzalo Rubio won the tournament, tallying 69-67-72—208.
Missouri State was led by Mitch Mather, who totaled 71-72-76—219. Mather’s 3-over par put him in a three-way tie for eleventh overall with Lawrence Allan of Southeastern Louisiana and Martin Eriksson of McNeese State.
Nick Langley finished in a tie for 19th for the Bears, after scoring 72-71-78—221. Rounding out the scores for Missouri State are Brik Brauburger (70-78-77—229), Eric Straub (78-74-77—229), and Joey Johnson (75-82-76—233).
This concludes the fall golf season for Missouri State. The Bears will continue in February at the Showman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz.
