Young Leads, Men's Golf in Contention at Fall Finale

The Bears are four shots off the lead while Daily Young leads entering the final round at SIUE.

Fall 2011: Saw action at the SIUE Intercollegiate, where he shot 87-85-80--252 and placed 54th.

2010-11: Posted an 81.88 scoring average in eight rounds and three tournaments...Played in the season-opening Fairway Club Invitational, where he shot 80-77--157 and placed 60th...Shot 78-84-89--251 at the Rice Intercollegiate to open the spring...His last tournament of the season was the Branson Creek Invitational, where he carded 76-89-82--247.

2009-10: Saw a jump in his playing time, averaging 77.8 in 15 rounds to rank fifth on the team...Best finish was a tie for 16th at the Branson Creek Invitational as he shot 77-74-73--224 for his best 54-hole total...Played at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate in the fall, where he shot 76-80-80-236 and tied for 65th...Competed in the last three tournaments of the spring...Went 75-74-79--228 at Arkansas State, then shot 78-80-72--230 at the Hawkeye Invitational and 92-80-77--249 at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
