Game Outlook:

The Missouri State Bears (4-6, 3-4 MVFC) look to close out a perfect home schedule when they welcome the No. 17 North Dakota State Bison (7-3, 4-3) to Plaster Field for a Senior Day affair. The last regular-season game for the two squads will be a 1 p.m. kickoff.

The Bears are 4-0 at home this season and are eager to play at Plaster after dropping two straight road contests. Their last time out, MSU lost 38-14 to No. 16 UNI in Cedar Falls, despite outgaining the Panthers 355-342. The game was tied at 14-14 at the end of the first quarter, but the Bears were shut out from there.

Panther quarterback Tirrell Rennie and its special teams unit accounted for all five UNI touchdowns: Rennie threw for three, Carlos Anderson ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown and the Panthers recovered a blocked Jordan Chiles punt in the end zone for a score. It marked the first time this season the Bears had allowed a special teams touchdown. Chris Douglas had 92 rushing yards and Stephen Johnston had 101 total yards, 64 receiving and 37 rushing, and an 18-yard TD run. In the game, Cody Kirby became only the fifth MVFC quarterback ever to top the 8,000 career passing yards mark.

North Dakota State continued its push for an at-large playoff berth, and its turnaround season, with a 31-24 win over rival South Dakota State last week. The Bison jumped out to a 31- 14 with 8:19 remaining in the fourth quarter and were able to withstand a furious SDSU comeback to improve to 7-3, 4-3 in the MVFC. The win ended a three-game losing streak to the Jackrabbits. D.J. McNorton rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries, topping 1,000 rushing yards on the day (1,080). The Bison also returned two interceptions for touchdowns. McNorton is fourth in the MVFC in rushing yards and averages 108.0 yards per game.
