SPRINGFIELD -- Mediacom’s local channel, MC22, will provide exclusive coverage for six of Missouri State's final nine football games this season as part of the company's ongoing coverage of Bears' athletics and its partnership with the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

With long-time Missouri State announcer Don West and color commentator Mike McClure on the call, all five Bears' home games will be televised, including two that are part of the MVFC's season package provided throughout the league markets via Mediacom.

The MSU home opener with Murray State this Saturday (7 p.m.) will kick off the five-game home slate, followed by the Sept. 22 conference opener against Southern Illinois (1 p.m.), the first-ever meeting with South Dakota on Oct. 13 (1 p.m.), the homecoming clash with Western Illinois on Oct. 27 (1 p.m.) and a visit from the defending national champions of North Dakota State on Nov. 3 (1 p.m.).  MC-22 will also televise the Sept. 29 game at South Dakota State (6 p.m.) as part of the Valley TV slate.

The SIU and Western Illinois home games as well as the South Dakota State road game are part of Mediacom's expanded partnership with the Missouri Valley Football Conference.  The result doubles the number of live televised football games featuring the Missouri State University Bears this season. Mediacom viewers will also be able to see additional league coverage of games Oct. 6 (SIU at Illinois State) and Oct. 20 (South Dakota State at UNI).

“We are very pleased with our partnership with Mediacom and the increased coverage for Missouri State football and the Missouri Valley Football Conference,” said Kyle Moats, MSU director of athletics. “As our relationship with Mediacom continues into the future, our partnership will only help to expand our brand and further promote our football program in the local market and beyond.”

Likewise, Mediacom's fall Missouri State package also includes MSU swimming, soccer and volleyball matches. In addition to live game telecasts, digital cable subscribers can watch the games at other times using OnDemand where the local programming menu includes college sports.  Additional baseball and softball games will be added to the Missouri State coverage package on MC-22 when those schedules are finalized.

For Bears' fans outside the Mediacom markets, Bears All-Access, MSU's subscription-based digital on-line channel will provide live streaming coverage of all home football and volleyball matches this fall in additional to select road contests and select games from other MSU sports. A complete and updated list of Bears All-Access events can be found at www.MissouriStateBears.com/allaccess.
