Recap |  Final Stats

Terry Allen
"A good win for us. I thought we set out to rush the football and we did in the first quarter, but couldn't get any points on the board. We did in the second, then we turned the ball over ourselves, and we're not going to play with a quarterback who turns the ball over. We went to another quarterback, he protected the ball and the defense took over from there."

"That's gotta be a record. I'm not sure I've ever coached a team that had three pick-sixes, nonetheless in the same quarter, nonetheless down the same sideline in front of us as coaches. I thought Jeremy Springer was going to (score) on the last one, but he got pushed out of bounds."

"These guys have been through a lot and they've persevered. I don't worry about them playing hard. They always play hard, and they came out today and even though it was not the prettiest thing in the first half, they stuck with it and were able to create some turnovers of their own. We mentioned at halftime that the defense hadn't gotten any turnovers, and they came out and got four in the second half."

Kierra Harris
"Coach Christophel preaches always be ready. Coach Allen always tells me I can go in at any moment. Not to say that I felt 100 percent comfortable. You’re going to be kind of rusty when you haven’t played in a couple games. After that first drive ... we got back in the groove.”

"Right now Coach Allen just preaches to us ‘take it one game at a time’. A team that prepares like we have been the last three weeks — that’s what you have to do. Take one opponent and study them, don’t worry about the playoffs, don’t worry about Northern Iowa. Just take it one game at a time and if you do that, win the day, win the game. The rest will just follow through."

Caleb Schaffitzel
"We just have to come out fast and I think we did that. We just played relentlessly. Both offense and defense did that today."

"I think that they can all agree it feels great. I think you want to be playing your better football at the end of the season rather than at the beginning and I think that we can go nowhere but up if we come out each week and prepare the way we have been and come out on Saturdays and just perform to the best of our abilities."
