Jermaine Saffold Breaks Down His Pro Day

Second-year starter coming off a breakout junior campaign in which he came just 36 yards shy of MSU season receiving yards record and earned all-conference honors ... Expected to start at X WR spot this fall ... Had team-high 9 receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown in four spring scrimmage games, including a 48-yard reception in Maroon and White Spring Game (4/16/11).

2010: Started all 11 games at X-Wide Receiver and earned All-MVFC second-team honors after pulling down 53 passes for 869 yards and 5 TDs ... Earned MVFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for Youngstown State game, tallying 9 receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown and 177 all-purpose yards ... Finished 28th nationally and fourth in the MVFC in receiving yards per game (79.00) ... Was also 55th in Division I FCS and seventh in the league in receptions (4.82) ... Ranked 71st nationally and 10th in the MVFC in all-purpose yards (102.45) ... 53 catches tied for sixth in MSU history, while 869 yards was second ... Finished season with four100-yard receiving games, including career-high 176 yards on 9 catches and a TD against Southern Illinois (10/30/10) ...
