At MSU: Jake Morse graduated from high school last January, a semester early, and enrolled at MSU for the spring semester and took part in spring practice. He went 4-for-8 passing for 19 yards and one interception in the Maroon and White Spring Game.

Background: Morse moved from Kansas to Missouri between his junior and senior years. While in DeSoto (Kan.) High, he was a two-year starter and was first team all-league, all-county, all-area and all-state. His senior year at Rock Bridge, he completed 56percent of his passes for 1,962 yards and 20 touchdowns; was also voted All-Area his senior year
