At MSU: Cory Harbor will be after significant playing time this season after seeing spot duty in 2006 and 2007, when he played in every game, but saw limited playing time. After redshirting in his first year on campus in 2004, he made an immediate impact at linebacker in 2005. His best game of that season came in an upset of UNI, when he notched seven tackles and a sack. He had five tackles against Missouri-Rolla and four against Central Arkansas in his top games of the 2007 Bears' campaign.
Background: Harbor came to MSU three years ago from Dwight High, where he set a school record with 122 tackles his senior year and 280 for his prep career. He was his team's MVP and an all-conference and all-area choice. Harbor received honorable mention to the all-state team as a junior in addition to his all-area and all-conference honors. The Champaign Gazette listed him as a top 100 player in Illinois as a junior.
Personal: Cory Josh Harbor was born 11/18/85 in Waukegan, Ill., the son of Jeff Harbor and Donna Newman. Cory's younger brother, Clay, is a junior tight end for the Bears. Cory's academic major at Missouri State is private and commercial recreation.
