Late Trey by Thurman Puts Bears on Top of AAMU at the Break

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- A three-pointer at the buzzer has given the Missouri State Bears a 25-24 halftime lead at Alabama A&M with the visiting Bears shooting 41 percent from the field in the first half.

MSU went on an 8-2 run to end the half after trailing 22-17 at the 4:21 mark with a 3-pointer by Tyler Davis. Davis and Brandon Ellis have 5 points apiece at the half for the Bulldogs.

MSU was led by Marcus Marshall's 7 points with Gavin Thurman adding 7 more for MSU in the first half. Bears' freshmen have 22 of the club's 25 points in the first 20 minutes.

MSU was 9-for-22 (.409) from the field, 2-of-6 (.333) from 3-point range and 3-of-4 (.750) at the line. AAMU out-rebounded the Bears 18-11 but was 10-for-28 (.357) from the field, 4-of-9 (.444) from bonus distance and did not attempt a trey.
