Creekmore's 11 Points Leads All Players at MSU Sneak Preview



Boston University transfer Will Creekmore scored 11 points, including a pair of three-pointers, to lead the White team over the Maroon team, 37-26, in the annual Missouri State Sneak Preview intrasquad scrimmage at Hammons Student Center on Saturday evening.

Creekmore will become game-eligible for the Bears at the end of the first semester.

The White team, coached by assistants Steve Woodberry and Kent Williams, had six three-pointers in the 20-minute, running clock scrimmage.  Derron Hobbs added nine points for the white team, while Ryan Jehle and Dominick Brumfield contributed five apiece, Isaiah Rhine scored four, and Spencer Laurie added three. Chris Cooks played but did not score for the White side.

Coach Jon Harris and Trevyor Fisher's Maroon squad was led by Kyle Weems with 10 points, while Colorado transfer Caleb Patterson added six, Wade Knapp and Cardell McFarland each added four, and John Hayward-Mayhew hit for two points.  The Maroon team hit a pair of three-pointers, both by Kyle Weems.

Shane Laurie and Eastern Kentucky transfer Adam Leonard did not play due to injuries. Both Patterson and Leonard will sit out the 2008-09 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

The Bears will play their first exhibition game of the 2008-09 season on Monday, November 3 when they host Quincy University at Hammons Student Center at 7 p.m.
