Weems in Double Figures for Third Game as AIA Squad Improves to 3-0
The Athletes in Action basketball team comprised of Division I all-stars and coached by Missouri State assistant Kent Williams scored an 85-72 win over Poland's Team Asseco on Saturday to claim its third straight win.
The victory was AIA's second against Team Asseco on the team's four-game tour of Poland.
MSU's Kyle Weems notched 12 points in the game to help AIA improve to 3-0. He was 5-for-10 from the field with a pair of three-pointers, an assist and a rebound. It was his third double-figure scoring output in as many games. His 12.3 point-per-game scoring average ranks third on the squad behind the Baylor tandem of A.J. Walton (19.7) and Cory Jefferson (13.0).
Athletes in Action concludes its Poland tour Sunday at 4 p.m. (Central) against Asseco Prokom II.
Please see the previous release on the tour for additional ways to keep up with the American AIA team that includes Weems and three other Missouri Valley Conference players.
