Missouri State rallies from early deficit to lead Braves 31-25 at the Intermission at JQH

SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State has overcome an early 9-0 deficit to lead visiting Bradley 31-25 here in the regular-season finale for both Missouri Valley Conference squads.
The Bears used a 21-4 run over a nine-minute span to lead 21-13 at the 5:55 mark. Nathan Scheer knocked down a pair of 3-pointers during the run, while Christian Kirk scored five of his seven first-half points during the comeback effort.
MSU built its lead to 31-20 at the 1:08 mark after a Scheer layup in transition. Bradley rallied in the final 48 seconds of the opening stanza on a layup by Jordan Prosser and a long-range trey by Walt Lemon, Jr. just before the horn.
Paul Lusk's squad is 10-for-28 (.357) from the field, 3-of-13 (.231) from beyond the arc and 8-of-11 (.727) at the line. The Bears are even on the boards, 18-18 with just 3 turnovers.
Bradley is 10-for-24 (.417) from the field, 2-of-9 (.222) from downtown and 3-of-6 (.500) at the line with 7 early turnovers.
Lemon has 9 points to lead all scorers. The Bears are led by Scheer's 8 points with Marcus Marshall and Kirk adding 7 apiece. Marshall also has a game-best 6 rebounds.
