Bears Will Play Valparaiso in ESPN BracketBusters on Feb. 19
Missouri State will travel to Valparaiso on Saturday, Feb. 19 as part of the eighth annual ESPN BracketBusters series, the network announced Monday. The Bears will be featured on one of 11 national telecasts produced on the ESPN family of networks on BracketBusters weekend, Feb. 18-20.
The game is slated to tip at 4 p.m. (Central) on ESPN 2.
Valpo is 16-6 overall and 8-2 in the Horizon League.
The Bears (17-5, 9-2 MVC) are 4-3 all-time in the BracketBusters, including a 2-1 mark in road games and 2-3 record in games televised by ESPN in the event. Likewise, Missouri State is 6-0 all-time in BracketBusters return games.
MSU will travel to Nevada in 2011-12 as a return game for last year's BracketBusters contest at JQH Arena. This year's opponent, Valparaiso will come to Springfield in 2012-13.
Missouri State leads the all-time series with the Crusaders, a former Mid-Continent Conference foe of the Bears, by a 14-3 margin,
Cuonzo Martin takes his troops to Evansville on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. in Missouri Valley Conference action. The Bears return home Saturday for a 2:05 p.m. start against Indiana State on Hall of Fame weekend. The Indiana State game is the first of three straight games that will feature a $7 upper-level ticket in non-assessment sections.
