At Missouri State

Dale Lamberth enters his senior year as a key ingredient in the attack for the 2007-08 Bears. Adept at finding ways to score from virtually anywhere on the offensive end, Lamberth will draw attention both underneath the goal and on the perimeter as he has shown himself to be one of the top shooters in the Missouri Valley Conference. Lamberth sat out the 2004-05 season as a redshirt following his transfer to Missouri State from Northern Oklahoma College-Enid and will be in his third and final season at Missouri State this winter. He's just out of the top 10 in Missouri State career three-pointers made and 6th in career three-point accuracy.

Lamberth's overall productivity was up slightly last year from his sophomore season although his shooting numbers dipped a bit. He tied for fifth on the team in scoring and was second in field goal accuracy. Lamberth got off to a blazing start last year as he hit 7-of-10 from the floor for a career-high 19 points vs. Toledo in the season opener. His other top scoring games came in late January when he had 17 against Bradley and Creighton, both at home. Lamberth had a total of eight double-digit scoring games and his 12 rebounds in the Bradley game gave him his first point-rebound double-double. Lamberth hit 50 percent or better from the field in 16 straight games last season from Dec. 16 to Feb. 3.

Lamberth led the ballclub and the MVC in three-point percentage at .469 and was well above the 50 percent mark much of the campaign. His .528 overall shooting mark was second only to Sky Frazier on the ballclub and Lamberth was also a solid .782 from the foul line. Lamberth scored in double figures in 10 games with a high of 19 points in the home win over Drake as he tossed in 7-of-10 from the floor. He scored 14 in the win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and had a dozen points in four other games. He connected on three-pointers in each of the first eight games of the season and hit multiple treys in nine games, topped by 3-of-3 outings from long range at Evansville and Illinois State. Lamberth was perfect overall in five field goal tries at Oral Roberts and hit 50 percent or better with four or more makes in a total of nine ballgames. He scored in 30 of the 31 games played and never missed more than one free throw in any game. Lamberth's best outings from three-point range came when he popped in two in six different games.

Lamberth helped Northern Oklahoma to a 17-15 record as a freshman in 2003-04 and his team was 5-5 in league play for third place. Lamberth was a starter for Northern Oklahoma as a freshman and led the team in scoring with a 16-point average, while picking up eight rebounds a contest. His top single game outings were efforts of 28 points and 14 rebounds. He was the only freshman on the all-conference and all-region first teams. Lamberth broke the school single season steals record with 47. At Putnam City North High in Oklahoma City, Lamberth saw continual success. North, after going 20-0 Lamberth's freshman year, had years of 26-2, 27-1 and 25-3 his last three campaigns. The Pirates won four straight league titles, going 13-1 Lamberth's junior year and 14-0 his other three seasons. After missing much of the year with an injury, Lamberth averaged 12 points and six rebounds as a junior and led Oklahoma Class 6A in shooting at 71 percent as Putnam City won a state title. As a senior, Lamberth averaged 18 points, eight rebounds and two assists a game and finished the season with 500 points. He hit 61 percent from the field to lead the team in shooting. He was an all-conference, all-district and all-state first team pick and won all-tourney honors in three meets as a senior as Putnam City finished as state runner-up.
