Boone led Mesa (Ariz.) Community College with 16.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season while converting 62 percent of his shots and 70 percent of his free throws. He started all 31 games and helped lead coach Sam Ballard's Thunderbirds to a 26-5 overall record and a trip to the NJCAA Region I championship game.
He played his freshman season at upstart Grand Canyon University where he was part of a 23-8 campaign in 2012-13. He played in 27 games and finished second on the squad in blocked shots (13) while contributing 1.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 7.3 minutes per appearance. The Seattle native attended high school at Mountain View High in Mesa, Ariz., where he led coach Gary Ernst's Toros to a 21-8 season and state playoff appearance.
