Bears' Wednesday Contest With Arkansas State Postponed
March 4, 2014
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri State's Wednesday (March 5) game with Arkansas State has been postponed due to perpetual inhospitable playing conditions. The Bears and Red Wolves will make up one of their previously-scheduled two games on Wednesday, March 26 with a 6:35 p.m. match-up at Hammons Field.
As a result, the Bears (7-3) will now play their first 14 games of the 2014 season on the road before returning to Springfield to open their revised home slate Friday, March 14 when they begin a three-game non-conference series with new Missouri Valley Conference foe Dallas Baptist. The mid-March opener marks the latest date Missouri State will have played its first home game (weather permitting) since the 1980 season.
To accommodate the early season scheduling changes, both single-game and season tickets for any of Missouri State's weather-induced cancelations vs. Purdue or Arkansas State, are redeemable for any other MSU home game this season, either through the MSU Athletics Box Office at JQH Arena or on game days at Hammons Field.
Bears' single-game tickets are priced at $5 for the general public, $2.50 for Missouri State faculty and staff, $2 for students and $4 per adult ($2 for children) for groups of 20 or more for the 2014 season. All children ages 12 and under will require a $2 ticket for admission. Eight-game mini-plans, which allow fans to the opportunity to customize their own ticket package by selecting seats to eight home games of their choice, will also be available for $32 per person.
For additional information on single-game ticket purchases to any Missouri State home game in 2014, please contact Duane Miller at (417) 836-8899 or the MSU Athletics Box Office at (417) 836-7678.
