Weather Forces Alteration to Baseball Bears' Weekend Schedule

Feb. 26, 2014

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - With the possibility of winter weather conditions continuing throughout the weekend, the Missouri State Bears' home-opening baseball series against Purdue has been canceled.

Instead, the Bears (6-2) will travel to Abilene, Texas, where they will take part in the Bourland - Ardoin Classic, with games against host Abilene Christian at 7 p.m. Friday (Feb. 28), Kansas State at 7 p.m. Saturday (March 1) and Grand Canyon at 11 a.m. Sunday (March 2) at Crutcher Scott Field.

As a result of the change, the Bears will open the home portion of their 2014 schedule Tuesday (March 4), when they begin a two-game midweek series with Arkansas State at 3:05 p.m. Bears' single-game tickets are priced at $5 for the general public, $2.50 for Missouri State faculty and staff, $2 for students and $4 per adult ($2 for children) for groups of 20 or more for the 2014 season. All children ages 12 and under will require a $2 ticket for admission. Eight-game mini-plans, which allow fans to the opportunity to customize their own ticket package by selecting seats to eight home games of their choice, will also be available for $32 per person.

To accommodate the scheduling change, both single-game and season tickets for any of this weekend's contests are redeemable for any other MSU home game this season, either through the MSU Athletics Box Office at JQH Arena or on game days at Hammons Field. For additional information on exchanging tickets or single-game ticket purchases to any MSU home game, please contact Duane Miller at (417) 836-8899 or the MSU Athletics Box Office at (417) 836-7678.
