Bears' Tuesday Game at Kansas Postponed
Feb. 25, 2013
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Due to continued inclement weather in the Lawrence, Kan., area, Missouri State's road contest with Kansas, scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 26) at Hoglund Ballpark, has been postponed.
The Bears and Jayhawks are scheduled to square off at Hammons Field on March 26, and the two clubs will attempt to find a mutually-agreeable makeup date for Tuesday's contest later in the season.
Off to their best start in five years, the Bears (5-1) return to Hammons Field this weekend to open the home portion of their 2013 schedule against Northwestern State. The three-game series kicks off a busy month of March that will see the Bears play 14 of their 19 contests at home.
Friday's home opener is slated for a 3 p.m. first pitch, with single games to follow Saturday (2 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.).
Bears' single-game tickets are priced at $5 for the general public, $2.50 for Missouri State faculty and staff, $2 for students and $4 per person for groups of 20 or more for the 2013 season. All children ages 12 and under will require a $2 ticket for admission. Eight-game mini-plans, which allow fans to the opportunity to customize their own ticket package by selecting seats to eight home games of their choice, are also available for $32 per person.
Season-ticket packages are also on sale, with lower-level reserved chairback seats available for $100 to the general public, $50 for Missouri State faculty and staff and $20 for students. Students must show a valid and current student ID along with a student ticket to gain entry to Hammons Field. Missouri State is also offering complimentary season-long admission for up to two children (ages 12 and under) with the purchase of two 2013 season tickets.
Tickets may be obtained in person at the Chevy Pickup Window at JQH Arena, or by calling (417) 836-7678 or (417) 836-3302.
