2015: Perez provided stability out of the Bears’ bullpen as a junior, going 9-1 with a 3.31 earned run average in 27 relief appearances…Struck out 62 and walked just 16 over 68.0 innings of work…Allowed just two earned runs over his last 10 appearances (May 2-June 7), striking out 27 batters while walking only four over 26.0 innings…Earned his lone save of the season on Feb. 14 at Stephen F. Austin, closing out the final two innings of the Bears’ 5-4 win over the Jacks…Notched his first victory of the year March 6 vs. Wright State with 4.0 innings of relief work, striking out four and allowing just one run in a 14-4 win over an eventual NCAA Regional qualifier…Picked up a win in his next appearance at Arkansas State (March 11), working 3.1 innings of a 6-3 victory…Limited UALR (March 17) to one run on five hits over 5.2 innings to record the win…Combined with Andy Cheray on a two-hit shutout of Kansas (April 15), allowing both KU hits over 6 2/3 innings of a 3-0 victory…Logged his sixth and seventh victories of the season at Saint Louis (May 5) and Southern Illinois (May 10), working a combined 12.0 innings over which he allowed just one run on nine hits while striking out 16 without issuing a single walk; limited the Billikens to a single run while scattering six hits and striking out a career-high 10 batters in an 8-2 win and followed that performance with a 5.1 inning stint at SIU, fanning six more and allowing only three hits…Earned Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week honors and MVC Pitcher of the Week recognition for his efforts, May 4-10…Won the Bears’ regular-season finale vs. Bradley (May 16), working five shutout innings of two-hit baseball; also beat the Braves in the title game of the MVC Championship, striking out three and allowing just one baserunner over 1.2 innings of the 5-2 victory…Made two postseason appearances for the Bears, combining to work 3.0 scoreless innings vs. Iowa (May 31) and Arkansas (June 7)…Named a third-team Summer Collegiate All-American by Perfect Game USA and the MINK League Pitcher of the Year this past summer after allowing just five earned runs in his 42.0 innings of work in his third summer with Sedalia; posted four consecutive double-digit strikeout performances and limited the opposition to a .166 batting average in winning the circuit’s pitching triple crown, going 6-0 with a 1.07 ERA and 61 strikeouts…Went a combined 15-1 on the mound in 2015, logging a 2.45 ERA and 123 K's while issuing just 26 walks over 110.0 innings pitched for the Bears and Bombers.

2014: Posted a breakthrough sophomore campaign, going 3-1 with a 4.50 earned run average in 15 appearances for the Bears...Earned all three of his wins in relief, registering a 2.56 ERA in his 14 appearances out of the bullpen...Struck out 25 batters in 32.0 innings while issuing just eight walks to finish with the second-best K/BB ratio (3.125) on the squad...Went 1-0 with two saves while turning in team-lows for ERA (1.74) and opponent batting average (.184) during MVC play...Logged four scoreless relief outings to start the season (Feb. 21-March 11), allowing just two hits over 6.1 innings while fanning nine and walking none...Earned his first collegiate win with 8.1 innings of four-hit relief vs. Arkansas State (March 26); struck out a career-best six hitters in the 5-4 MSU victory...Recorded 3.0 scoreless innings to help the Bears claim the rubber match of their MVC series with Southern Illinois (March 30), fanning three while allowing just two hits to earn his second win...Notched his first save as a Bear April 11 at Bradley, closing out a come-from-behind 6-5 victory with a scoreless ninth inning...Closed the door on a 4-2 win over Illinois State (April 18) with 1 1/3 perfect innings for his second straight save...Pitched 3.0 innings of relief in a 6-5 win at Kansas (April 23) to pick up his third victory...Tossed 2.1 shutout frames May 17 to help MSU defeat the MVC regular-season champion Evansville, 9-8...Made his first collegiate start May 23 in the Bears' elimination contest with Dallas Baptist at the MVC Championship; tagged with the loss after allowing seven runs on seven hits in 1/3 of an inning...Earned MVC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll recognition for the second consecutive year...Worked a team-high 68.1 innings for Sedalia over the summer, going 5-3 with a 2.77 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 10 starts; finished with a complete-game six-hit shutout vs. Derby at the NBC World Series in Wichita.

2013: Made two relief appearances for the Bears as a freshman, posting a 4.50 earned run average...Made his MSU debut Feb. 22 in an 8-1 win over Alcorn State, working a scoreless inning with one strikeout...Named to the MVC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll...Pitched for the Sedalia Bombers of the MINK League over the summer, registering a 3-2 record to go along with a 3.21 ERA.

Background: Perez was the final piece to the Bears' 2012 recruiting class, committing in the spring on the heels of a strong senior campaign for Branson High...Recorded a 7-2 record to go along with a 0.97 earned run average and 78 strikeouts over 60 innings for the Pirates to earn MHSBCA First-Team All-State and Springfield News-Leader All-Ozarks honors as a senior...Also named Central Ozarks Conference Pitcher of the Year and Academic All-State recognition as a senior...Hit .411 and went 5-1 with a 3.12 ERA on the mound to earn all-conference honors as a junior in 2011.
