2008: Playter had an outstanding junior season, hitting .299 with three homers, 34 RBIs and 48 runs scored to earn a spot on the all-conference second team as a utility player ... Also earned a place on the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team, and was one of 10 MVC student-athletes honored as an MVC Good Neighbor by league Commissioner Doug Elgin ... Was voted to the MVC all-tournament team after hitting .400 with four runs scored in the event ... Logged 20 multiple-hit games and 10 multi-RBI outings, and scored seven game-winning runs for the Bears ... Stole 12 bases in 14 tries and posted a slick .967 fielding percentage while playing second base, shortstop and first base ... Scored at least two runs in 13 games ... Went 3-for-6 with four RBIs, three runs and a triple at Central Arkansas (3/1) ... Had two hits and two RBIs versus Southern Illinois (3/30) ... Was 2-for-4 with three RBIs against Evansville (4/11), and had a three-hit day versus UE the next day ... Drove in four runs and homered against Bradley (4/19) ... Tripled and drove in three runs against Illinois State (4/27) ... 2007: Played in 26 games with five starts, three at third base and two at DH ... Collected five hits in 32 at bats while scoring five runs and driving in a pair ... Broke up MTSU pitcher Brad Robinson's no-hitter with a sixth-inning pinch-hit single 3/4 ... Had a double, RBI and run scored at Southern Illinois (4/29) ... Spent the summer hitting .422 with three homers and 21 RBIs for the Kansas City MSBL Royals of the Ban Johnson League, earning an all-star selection for the league champions.

2005: Playter appeared in six games for the Bears and had one at bat against Southeast Missouri State (5/17).

Background: Playter came to Missouri State after being a four-year starter at Raytown High ... While at Raytown, Playter was a three-time all conference and two-time all-metro selection while being the starting shortstop for the Bluejays in his final three seasons ... He was a second team all-state selection and served as team captain his senior season.
