2011: Marshall appeared in 31 games with 25 starts at catcher as a junior...Batted .226 with four doubles, nine RBIs and nine runs scored in 84 at bats...Threw out 12 of 29 would-be base stealers for a 41.4 percent success rate, ranking third in MVC with those 12 runners caught stealing despite ranking 10th in steal attempts against...Had two hits and two RBIs at Kansas State (April 19) and at home versus North Dakota (March 6)...Drove in two runs against Saint Louis (April 3) and went 2-for-3 against 16th-ranked Arkansas (April 12).

2010: Played in 43 games with 36 starts behind the plate...Extended errorless streak to start his career to 195 chances before a miscue on April 9...Hit .155 with nine RBIs...Ended year with a 4-for-8 showing at the MVC Tournament...Launched first career homer and drove in three against Southern Illinois (May 26) at the league meet...Had two-hit games against Arkansas State (March 16) and Wichita State (May 16), driving in two runs versus the Shockers as well.

2009: Played in eight games with four starts as a freshman, hitting .238 with two RBIs and six runs scored...Hit an RBI single in his first career at bat against Sam Houston State (Feb. 28)...Made first career start at Arkansas State (April 15), going 1-for-4 with two runs scored...Stepped in for an injured Dallas Hord at the MVC Tournament, scoring twice against Illinois State (May 20) and recording hits against Southern Illinois (May 21) and Creighton (May 22)...Played error-free behind the plate in 50 chances.

Background: Marshall was a four-year starter as a catcher and infielder at Glendale High in Springfield...Marshall's Glendale Falcons tied for first in the league with a 7-2 record his senior season, and he put up a .330 batting average, 20 RBIs and 10 extra-base hits to earn all-conference, all-Ozarks and second-team all-state honors...Was a first-team all-Ozarks and all-conference choice as a junior as well, hitting .326 for a conference championship team that was ranked 10th in Missouri by GHS Rookie of the Year as a freshman, and hit .314 with time on the varsity team as an eighth-grader.
