2008: Clubb put together arguably the best pitching season in Missouri State history, going 11-0 with a 2.52 ERA and setting a school record for victories without a defeat ... Honored as the MVC Pitcher of the Year and an All-American by four publications ... Received All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (1st team), the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (2nd team), the American Baseball Coaches Association (2nd team) and Ping! Baseball (2nd team) ... Was also a first-team all-region selection by the ABCA ... Clubb earned spots on the all-MVC first team and MVC Scholar-Athlete first team as well ... 2007: Clubb led the team in wins as a redshirt freshman, finishing the year with a 6-3 record and 4.07 ERA ... Began the season as a midweek starter but earned a spot in the weekend rotation midway through the conference season ... Voted by his teammates as the Bears' Rookie of the Year ... Logged 86.1 innings to finish third on the staff, and posted a 3.25 ERA and .248 opponent batting average in his final 83 innings of the season ... Held opponents to a .271 average for the season, second among the five Bears pitchers who tossed at least 40 innings ... Made five relief appearances in addition to his 12 starts, picking up a save by striking out five in two innings against Wichita State in the MVC Tournament (5/24) ... Went five innings and earned his first career victory at home versus Middle Tennessee (3/4) ... Hurled a six-hit complete game shutout at Arkansas State (3/20), striking out four without walking a batter ... Had an 11.2 inning scoreless streak (3/20-3/27) ... Background: Clubb joined the Missouri State baseball team from Eureka (Mo.) High ... At Eureka, Clubb was a four-year letterwinner, and was selected to the all-state first team as well as being named first team all-conference and all-metro for the second straight year ... On the mound, the right-handed pitcher turned in an 8-2 record and 1.31 ERA in 64.1 innings pitched along with 84 strikeouts ... Also selected as a two-time all-conference infielder, Clubb hit .337 and drove in 26 runs ... In American Legion play during the summer of 2005, Clubb pitched for the Eureka Legion Post 177 ... In 57.2 innings, he had 57 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.70 while batting .466 with 36 RBIs.
