Le Claims Third MAC Swimmer of the Week Honor of Year

CLEVELAND - Missouri State junior Paul Le has been named MAC Male Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Monday.
Le won all four individual events and all four relays he entered in pool-record time to help the Bears topple TCU, 258-114 in the inaugural Oklahoma Splash Bash in Jenks, Okla., Saturday and Sunday.
Le also hit the NCAA `B' standard in the 100- (47.96) and 200-yard (1:45.61) backstroke events. He won the 50 freestyle (20.33) and led off the winning 200-free relay (1:22.57) and 400-medley relay (3:19.36) on Saturday.
Le led off the 200-medley relay in a pool-record 1:30.73 and 400-free relay in 3:02.47 Sunday, and in between, set pool marks in the 50 (22.79) and 200 back.
The Moore, Okla., native, who was swimming the first collegiate meet of his career in his home state, also won the MAC weekly honor on Nov. 25 and Oct. 14 this season.
Missouri State returns to action Jan. 8 when it travels to Grand Junction, Colo., to take on Colorado Mesa.
