Swimming and Diving Squads Headed to Delta State Invitational
The Missouri State swimming and diving Bears will compete in the Delta State Invitational in Cleveland, Miss. Dec. 17 through Dec. 19. This is the second of three invitational meets the Bears will compete in this season.
Their last time out, the Bears swim in the highly-competitive Purdue Invitational. Though Missouri State finished fifth for the men and sixth for the women, there were many highlights for the Bears. Sophomore Amber Green (St. Louis, Mo.) earned a national "B" cut-line in the 100-yard freestyle with her time of 50.14. Green also turned in a time of 23.10 in the 50-yard freestyle, which improved upon her second-best time in school history. For the men, senior Dillon Burns and sophomore Daan Jansen placed third in the 50-yard freestyle and 400-yard IM, respectively.
On the season, Missouri State men hold four of the top times in the MAC and the women have 13 of the top times in the MVC.
Each day will begin with a preliminary heat at 10 a.m. followed by a final heat in the afternoon. Results will be posted at www.MissouriStateBears.com after each day of competition.
