JENKS, Okla. – The Missouri State swimming & diving team will take on TCU in the inaugural Oklahoma Splash Bash, a two-day dual meet starting Saturday at the Trojan Aquatic Center.

The meet begins at 3 p.m., on Saturday and concludes starting at 4 p.m., Sunday. Live results will be available in both HTML and mobile formats.

The men’s team (3-1) comes into action following a third-place finish out of seven teams at the TYR Invitational, hosted by Northwestern, on Nov. 22-24, while the women (3-2) were third of nine.

The Oklahoma Splash Bash features a unique twist on a typical dual-meet format as the teams will hold a combined workout session prior to the start of competition on Saturday. It will give both squads a chance to train against top student-athletes while receiving coaching from both staffs.

The Bears and Horned Frogs will also host a free swim clinic for students in third to eighth grades immediately following the completion of competition Saturday. Those planning to attend are also invited to the dual meet free of charge.

The TCU men are 1-1 in dual meets this season, beating SMU, 177.5-122.5, at home on Nov. 13 for their only win. The women are 2-2 on the year with victories against Big 12 counterparts Kansas (176-124, Oct. 17) and Iowa State (160.5-139.5, Nov. 8).

The MSU men are 7-9 all-time against TCU with their last win coming in the last meeting of the schools, a 107-46 victory on Oct. 4, 2008, in Fort Worth, Texas. The only win in the series for the women was a 60-53 triumph on Nov. 20, 2004, at Hammons Student Center.

No diving events will be contested at the meet as the Trojan Aquatic Center does not include diving facilities.
