CLEVELAND - Junior Paul Le has been named MAC Male Swimmer of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Le helped Missouri State to a third-place finish at the TYR Invitational at Northwestern's Norris Aquatics Center this weekend.

Le was the second-highest individual point producer, scoring 92 points in the seven-team meet, which included Big Ten powers Northwestern and Michigan State.

The Moore, Okla., native won a team-high four events, the 200 individual medley, 50 backstroke, 100 back and 200 back. He won the 200 IM, 100 and 200 back events in NCAA consideration times of 1:47.41, 47.09 and 1:43.42, respectively.

In the 50 free prelims Friday, Le broke the school record in 20.22, topping the previous record of 20.23 set by Ignacio Guyo in the 2008 Sun Belt Conference Championships.

Le became the national leader in the 100 back in the Saturday championship final, while also helping the Bears to second-place finishes in the 400-medley relay (3:15.10), 200-medley relay (1:28.09) and 200-free relay (1:21.35).

The weekly honor is Le's second this season and fourth of his career. He was also named Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 14 this year and Jan. 23 and Oct. 24 last year.

Missouri State returns to action against TCU in Jenks, Okla., to begin a two-day meet on Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.
