Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Earn Academic All-American Team Honors
 

 

 

The Missouri State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were recognized by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as NCAA Division I Academic All-American Teams for the Fall 2008 semester.  To be eligible for the award, a team must maintain an average GPA of 3.0 or above. 

 

The women’s squad finished the Fall 2008 semester with a team GPA of 3.21, placing 53rd as a team nationally.  The Bears’ squad was one of 93 NCAA Division I women’s programs honored by the CSCAA with the national award.  Five women achieved a semester GPA of 4.0 and 16 were listed on the Fall 2008 Missouri State Dean’s List (GPA of 3.50 or above).

 

The men’s squad ended the Fall 2008 semester with a team GPA of 3.02.  Out of 41 NCAA Division I men’s swimming and diving programs recognized, the Bears’ men ranked 35th nationally.  Seven men were listed on the Fall 2008 Missouri State Dean’s List and two Bears’ student-athletes finished the semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
