MSU Athletics Director's Honor Roll - Fall 2012, Fall 2011
2011-12: Finished 140th in the nation in the 200 back...Scored fifth-place points in the 100 back on the second day of the 2012 MAC Championships; .18 seconds separated fifth and ninth place in the 100 back timed final...Teamed up with Paul Le to take two of the top four spots in the 200 back; Finished fourth (1:47.13) and was .53 seconds away from NCAA 'B' cut...Also swam the 200 IM at conference and placed 21st...During the dual meet season, he won the 100 back twice...Also collected a pair of wins in the 200 back at Truman State and Lindenwood...Finished first in the 200 free vs. William Jewell...Placed third overall in both the 100 and 200 back at the TYR Invitational; Also claimed fourth place in the 50 back in Evanston, Ill...Finished on the MSU season's top times list in the 100 back (2nd), 200 back (2nd) and 200 IM (5th).
2010-11: Named to the all-MAC second team...Established himself as the team's top backstroke swimmer in 2011 with his individual and relay performances at the 2011 MAC Championships...Swam the backstroke leg on both of MSU's fourth-place medley relays...Served as anchor of the 200 free relay...Individually, he was the Bears' top finisher in the 100 back (49.70) and 200 back (1:47.89), finishing third and fourth, respectively.
Background: Took home the title in the 50-yard backstroke at the Brazilian Junior National meet in 2010...Also place third in the 100 and 200 back at the meet... Prior to arriving in Springfield, he placed in the top-four of the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events in each of the past four years at the Junior National meet.
