At Missouri State: Josh Udermann, a co-captain for the Bears' men this season, is expected to be a strong leader for the squad. He will be a key motivator for the Bears, specifically swimming in the sprint freestyle group. 2007-08: In his junior year, Udermann recorded a new personal best time at the Sun Belt Championship in the 50 free with a time of 21.25 in the race. Udermann finished 10th in the conference in the 50 free and 15th in the 100 free. He also swam the 200 free, finishing 19th in the event. Udermann was named to the MSU Academic Honor Roll list for the third consecutive year. 2006-07: Udermann swam the third leg of the 200 free relay that took second at the Sun Belt Championship and the third leg of the 800 free relay that captured third. He placed 11th in the 200 free in the league's championship as well. Udermann was a honorable mention All-SBC pick and made the MSU Academic Honor Roll list. 2005-06: As a freshman, Udermann swam his best times of the season at the MVC Invitational in the 100 and 200 free, earning him 12th in both. He was named to the MSU Academic Honor Roll for his impressive performances in the classroom. Background: Udermann was a four-year letterwinner for the Rosemount High Fighting Irish. Udermann was his team captain senior year and was awarded all-state his junior and senior year. Aside from his swimming honors, Udermann also did well in the classroom earning Academic All-American honors his final year. Personal: Full name is Joshua Michael Udermann.
